ACYC 2014 Volunteer of the Year
The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes the exceptional dedication of a Volunteer who has provided outstanding support for the activities of the Arts Center.
The Board of Directors is pleased to recognize Marsha Devine as the 2014 Volunteer of the year.
As a professional artist, Marsha Devine has over thirty-five years experience in Graphic Design and Advertising, as well as a lifetime of personal artistic endeavors. She has exhibited work in amateur and professional shows from New York to Arizona. More recently, her professional design work has revolved around creating logos, marketing materials, and web-related design for small businesses. Her personal art includes work in drawing, pottery, and painting.
With family roots that go back to the founding of Reading Center and Mays Mills in Yates County, Marsha and her husband Tom, moved to the Finger Lakes in 1985 and to Penn Yan in 1994, with their three daughters. They now have six grandchildren all currently living in Yates County.
In addition to her artistic talent (she is an exhibiting artist at the Center and runs regularly art workshops for kids) she has a passion for technology. As a volunteer she spent a tremendous amount of time overseeing the development of the new web site, she makes our FaceBook and Twitter pages very active and a good source of regular information for our 400 followers. She is working at this time on the transition of our newsletter “Perspectives” from paper to electronic version.
Our warmest thanks go to this multi-talented lady for all the support that she brings to the Arts Center.
