The artists of the Arts Center include painters, photographers, clay artists and potters, jewelry makers, wood and metal workers, sculptors and artists in many other media. They are part of a vibrant, active community of creative people who enjoy the beauty and inspiration of our Finger Lakes region.

Works by our artists, as well as guest artists, are on display and for sale at the Flick Gallery on Main Street in Penn Yan, NY. Exhibits change almost every month. Stop by often to see the latest art and creations.

Artists are juried in to the gallery by an Arts Center curatorial committee that
reviews artwork from May – Oct. To apply please click the letter below,
“Becoming an Exhibiting Artist” and the appropriate form.

Some of our artists also give workshops and  demos in a variety of media. Workshops are open to anyone who enjoys creating, from beginner to master. If you are an artist and would like to become an instructor at the Arts Center please click below.

Sunny Point - Artists

Artists are innately drawn to the natural beauty of the Finger Lakes region. In 2008, thanks to a generous donation to the Arts Center of Yates County from the estate of Dr. Annie Smith, artists have an additional opportunity to fully experience the beauty of the Finger Lakes. This prime location on the east side of Keuka Lake boasts lake frontage, a charming guest cottage, art workshop and pottery boathouse. It is open from June through October.

ACYC Sunny Point is located at 868 East Lake Road Dundee, NY, eight miles south of Penn Yan, NY.

This no cost residency is open to visual artists, literary artists, and performing artists who demonstrate professional standing in their field. This residency offers a 10 day use of the Arts Center of Yates County’s lakeside facility, Sunny Point. Keuka Lake is located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.

This opportunity includes the expectation that the participating artist will 'give back' to the Arts Center in some way—teach a class, do a demonstration, provide a piece of artwork associated with their stay at Sunny Point, or some other 'in kind' donation. Travel and meals are not included.

Artist in Residence program dates for 2023 include:

Friday, June 30 - Sunday, July 9, 2023, or
