Announcing The 100 Day Project!

NEWS FROM THE 100 DAY PROJECT FOLKS: "This year The 100 Day Project is highlighting a new creative practice we’re excited to introduce!

We recognize that 2020 has been a tough year – Covid continues to ramp up all around us. Our regular habits and lifestyles have been upended and life as we knew it has changed in unforeseen ways. There’s stress in all of the uncertainty.

Recognizing this, The100DayProject’s 2021 project pivots away from a rigorous daily effort and softens instead to a weekly practice that is doable and more aligned with the stressful time we’re living in. It’s a balanced, holistic practice that integrates weekly (or more often if you want) hands-on project work - with time for contemplation and exploration. "

The 2021 project is “Solstice to Equinox – Out of the Darkness into the Light,” and the theme for this year’s project is “Hope.”

We will be supporting 2021 participants with creative prompts and contemplative questions intended to enrich both your Project and your daily life. 2021 participants will also be invited to join a private Facebook group (the “Creative Practice”) where work can be shared and discussion will be encouraged. Our intention is to create an inclusive and intimate community there. More about the new Facebook group in the next newsletter.

When does the 2021 Project start? Launch date is on the Winter Solstice, December 21st, 2020 - and ends on the Spring Equinox, March 20, 2021. The theme is "Hope". The theme is optional and is meant for those looking for a idea nudge for their project.

What can I be doing now to prepare? Decide on a focus for your Project. What would you love to creatively explore these next few months? What makes you come alive? What offers you hope? When an idea comes to mind, write it down. Live with it for a few days. If it has staying power after a couple days, that’s a good sign. What makes for a great project idea? One that is simple, that you’re excited or curious about, is spacious enough to allow for exploration, and fits into your life. Once you have clarity about the focus for your 2021 project, you can register it on our website at http://the100dayproject.com/registration-form/. It’s free and easy to do. We look forward to accompanying you and supporting your 2021 creative journey!

Stay well, be resilient, Ann & Catherine
