The Arts Center offers workshops and classes for all ages and ability levels. Expect a variety of workshops from stained glass and wood carving to painting and collage to culinary arts and pottery, taught by talented artists around the region. Adult workshops are generally priced at $10/hour for members and $12/hour for not-yet-members. Some adult classes may also include a materials fee for specialized materials used in the workshop. Youth workshops, often covered by grants, are generally $5/session or $10/day for longer classes.
Note that members must stop in or call for special rate.
Workshops are held at the Arts Center on Main Street in Penn Yan or, during summer months, at the Arts Center’s Keuka Lake waterfront facility, Sunny Point. Both locations are handicapped accessible. Occasionally classes are held at other locations, which will be specific to that class. The Arts Center offers new classes regularly, so be sure to check back often to see what’s happening.

ARTS CENTER INSTRUCTORS
Our workshop instructors are working artists, professional art educators and art historians, all carefully matched to the classes they teach. In addition to being artists, our instructors are fine teachers. Their enthusiasm for their subject matter, ability to explain a wide variety of techniques to students at all levels of experience and passion for sharing their art make taking an Arts Center creative workshop an exciting experience. Come, take a class, relax, learn and enjoy!
We always welcome ideas and proposals for workshops from artists. Our schedule is flexible, incorporating classes that run from several hours to days or weeks. We'd be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.
